guilty pleasure tv: most haunted live

over the halloween weekend, during one of my late night surf sessions, i found out that the travel channel in the US has been showing the hugely popular UK reality program most haunted.

on special occasions, the most haunted team of yvette fielding (host), derek acorah (the psychic medium) and a slew of crew (i'm partial to cameraman Jon P) go live and broadcast all over the world to explore the creepiest places in england.

this halloween weekend, the gang have already been spooked at the tower of london, a pub in hackney and on halloween evening, they go in search of jack the ripper!

it's totally hokey tv, but the whole mix of night vision cameras, thermal imaging, live webcams and loads of ouiji board contact makes most haunted one of the better guilty pleasure shows around. but the best part is the live audience and the host that says things like 'they've just said that the room has an eerie feeling. isn't that wonderful audience?'. it's totally hilarious and weirdly creepy at the same time.

for those who'll miss this live event, check out their better edited and less sensationalist weekly program every friday night on the travel channel. until then, these most haunted live shows are your best bet this halloween evening.

madonna begins her media push in the US via MTV networks

after weeks of listening to snippets and dub tracks of the highly anticipated song hung up, the 1st single off madonna's new album confessions on a dancefloor is finally available for people to hear.

premiering the song on MTV's TRL on monday (oct 17), MTV will also world premiere her latest documentary I'm Going To Tell You A Secret (oct 21) with subsequent airings on VH1 and Logo (to see a preview check out VH1's broadband section).

Then at the end of the month, VH1 will then world premiere the single 'Hung Up' for all to see (if you wanna listen there is a place to check out the track first... figure it out cursors)

It's a networks' wet dream and as usual MTV are the lucky ones to bring it to us!

after months of rumors, daniel craig is confirmed as the new 007

UK hottie and wongie1 fave daniel craig was officially announced as the new 007. the 37 year old actor has long been a critics favorite with his diverse work in art house films like love is the devil and enduring love mixed in with big budget films like lara croft.

the casting of daniel definitely brings an edgier approach to the 007 franchaise and hopefully a new tone to what some are calling a tired formula. we here at wongie's world also hopes that a good portion of the film will also utilize his physical attributes as well... meow!!!
