star jones FINALLY leaves the view

after a long long period of rumors and behind the scene drama, star jones surprised everyone that she was leaving the view yesterday on live tv.

or course the second it was announced, the mud started flying with barbera walters stating that her live announcement was a surprise and that she felt 'betrayed' that star boo-hoo-ed to people that she was fired.

train wreck must see tv: pants off dance off

call it lame/stoner/voyeur/naughty/cult tv at it's best but the music channel fuse has finally created a fun new show called pants off dance off in which everyday people strip down to nothing for their favorite videos. some are embarassing, some are hot, all are weirdly watchable.
just go on the site to check out the best pants off dancers of the month.
btw, they are casting for series 2... so if you wanna get your naked on...

rescue me

burning (sorry, had to go there) into it's third season on FX, rescue me has slowly become one of the more compelling summer series around on tv. with the messed up tommy (played wonderfully by denis leary) leading his band of firefighters and family, the irony is that the fires are actually a solace from their crazy mega dysfunctional lives. this year also throws susan sarandon, marisa tomei and tatum o'neal into the mix, complicating it for everyone.

amidst all this is a strangely sweet storyline of provie junior mike (michael lombardi). seems like his days of hazing are coming to an end and he's torn with his allegiance to the firehouse that he started with and a completely more respected new identity at another one. add to the fact that he's getting closer to his male roomate and you've got an interesting year for this guy.

but knowing the outcome of this show, it'll be messed up like the rest of the storylines (which makes it oh so much fun).



for those who've never seen the show, seasons 1 & 2 are available on dvd. for the current season, most of you should know how to get them by now.

RIP: aaron spelling

after suffering a stroke on june 18, iconic television producer aaron spelling died at the age of 83.

known for his midas touch as the executive producer of some of televisions biggest shows of the 80's and 90's (charlie's angels, love boat, fantasy island, beverly hills 90210, melrose place and for some, charmed & 7th heaven), aaron was more recently honored as the omnipresent father in daughter tori spelling's camp vh1 series notorious.

with more than 3000 episodes of television left to his legacy, spelling will be highly missed by anyone who has ever been entertained by what he produced for us masses.
