after 28 years of offering lyrics and random info about your favorite pop star, the UK teen publication smash hits calls it a day.

back in it's heyday, smash hits was THE place to read up on all your favorite acts. whether they were indie stars of pure pop tarts, smash hits treated them with equal schoolgirl glee.

for teen music fanatics (like me) it was a bible. it probably helped with my writing tone and gave me an open mind to music in general. and for that, it will always represent something special to me. we will miss you smash hits!
