must see movie: serenity

i know that it would be easy to pigeonhole me as someone who would like a movie like serenity, but i have to be honest, i wasn't a big fan of the original tv series firefly. all i cared regarding this film was that joss whedon (creator of buffy/angel) finally got the opportunity to make a feature film.

the basic premise is this, Serenity Captain Malcolm Reynolds (hottie Nathan Fillion) and his hodge podge posse are small time 'movers' who take on gigs for quick money. when they pick up two new passengers, a young doctor and his unstable, telepathic sister, the team quickly realize that this 'shipment' is more than they bargained for.

on the lam from the government and other bounty 'movers', the whole Serenity group are forced to become heroes they never expected to be.

Serenity had me so giddy after watching it, that i now have to tell everyone i know about how funny, tense and surprisingly entertaining this film is. it's not because i'm a fan, it's because serenity is actually a really good debut feature for joss.

go watch it asap, then join the browncoats and become a nerd like me!
