2006 buzz: robin thicke

robin past (long hair) vs present (sweltering hearthrob)
yummy indeed!

who'd believe that the son of 80's actor alan thicke would turn out to be such a hunk of r&b coolness? after releasing his debut album a beautiful world back in 2003 to much fanfare but little sales returns, robin thicke was probably going to be regulated to non-hit critical wonder bin.

luckily pharrell (of the neptunes) was looking for a male vocalist to bring over to his star trek imprint and decided to repackage robin for the masses.

1st thing to go was the jesus hair (thank goodness), but what remained is robin's gorgeous voice that deserves to be heard through his r&b meets rock meets funk stylings.

keep an eye out for his upcoming album the evolution of robin thicke sometime in feb. until then give a few highlights of his album a listen (and while you're there check out 'wanna love u girl' as it's my fave single of the week).
